Nerlens Noel still adjusting to the NBA
Philadelphia 76ers big man Nerlens Noel is still adjusting to the NBA after sitting out all of last season with a torn ACL
Last season Philadelphia 76ers big man Nerlens Noel was forced to sit out for the entire year after suffering a torn ACL while at Kentucky. The injury caused him to fall in the draft after being projected as a potential number one pick. While Nerlens Noel is healthy going into this year he still has yet to play a single minute of meaningful NBA basketball for the Sixers.

Nerlens Noel played for the Philadelphia summer league team where his talents shined, but he soon learned that even in the preseason, playing against an NBA squad is a whole different monster.
“I just have to learn the game the way the NBA plays,” Nerlens Noel told CSNPhilly.com. “I watched all last season, but now that I am in it I have to adjust to the physicality and get back to the principles I need to play with.”
Nerlens Noel had his jump shot rebuilt from the ground up this off season by the Sixers coaching staff and has shown all the talent in the past that he will need to make it in the NBA. There will undoubtedly be an adjustment period as Nerlens Noel finally makes the leap in the NBA game but with expectations low in Philly, he should have the time to develop his game at his own pace while the Sixers’ front office attempts to build a roster around their center.
The Sixers selected Kansas forward Joel Embiid in this year’s NBA draft and he too will be forced to sit out his first season with an injury. Once Embiid comes back the clock will begin ticking for the two to make it work in Philadelphia with so much talent between the two.
