Oregon Ducks vs UCLA Bruins
The No. 12 Oregon Ducks and No. 18 UCLA Bruins will face-off Saturday in a matchup between two teams looking to rebound after tough losses last week. The Ducks fell to the Arizona Wildcats and the Bruins lost to the Utah Utes in two of the more surprising games of Week 6. However, the winner of this week’s game could still potentially make a run at the College Football Playoff, so this game has significant stakes.
Details for Saturday’s game are below:
Date: Saturday, Oct. 11
Start time: 3:30 p.m. ET
Location: Pasadena, California
Stadium: Rose Bowl
TV info: FOX
Live stream: FOX Sports GO
Radio: Oregon broadcast, here. UCLA broadcast, here.
Keys to Victory
For Oregon to take this one, it will be key for them to get their elite offense back on track. Arizona held Oregon to 24 points, prevented a monster game from Marcus Mariota and allowed just 3.5 yards per carry on the ground from Oregon. The Ducks need a solid showing from its suspect offensive line to give Mariota the time he needs to make plays and to open up running room for Royce Freeman.
UCLA is going to need a big performance from quarterback Brett Hundley to come away with a win here. Going tit-for-tat with Mariota isn’t easy, but Hundley is capable when on his A-game. Defensively, this team needs to get after Mariota and make him uncomfortable. UCLA’s not going to be able to shut down Oregon’s offense, but if they can contain them like Arizona did, a victory is within reach.
Betting Odds
Point spread: Oregon -2.5
Moneyline: Bruins +120, Ducks -140
Over/Under: 69
Prediction
The Ducks pull out an enormous, season-saving road win here. It won’t be an easy win, but Mariota and the Oregon offense find its form and pushes the Ducks over the top. Expect a close game throughout with a late-score being the difference here.
Final Score: Ducks 38, Bruins 31
