There is a reward of $15,000 being offered for any information leading to the arrest of the burglars, and sports memorabilia dealers in the region have been notified to keep a look out for the stolen items. The New York Post reported the MVP awards were appraised by dealers to have a value between $100,000 and $250,000. The thieves also reportedly took the glove Berra used to catch Don Larsen’s perfect game in the 1956 World Series.

Berra, 89, played 19 years in the Major Leagues, from 1946-1963 with the Yankees and for four games with the New York Mets in 1965. The oft-quoted former catcher won 10 championship rings with the Yankees, his last in 1962.
