In recent weeks on WWE television, there has been one notable absence and it has been that of Paul Heyman, the advocate for the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Brock Lesnar. Even with Lesnar off of television, everyone has been asking why WWE would leave someone as talented as Heyman off of television.
Well, as you would expect, the reasoning does indeed have to do with Lesnar being away.
According to a report from Wrestling Rumors, citing the Wrestling Observer, Heyman has not been booked for television because Lesnar is currently fulfilling his contractual obligations of sitting home and doing nothing.
"The latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter claims that Paul Heyman is being kept off TV due to Brock Lesnar’s absence. The current WWE World Heavyweight Champion has not appeared on WWE television since before “Night Of Champions,” and is not currently booked for any WWE events until the 2015 “Royal Rumble” on Jan. 25.The report claims that Heyman is now also being kept off of WWE programming. Heyman’s removal from WWE TV by company officials is being done so that fans are not being constantly reminded that his client, the current WWE Heavyweight Champion of the World, is nowhere to be seen."
While there is some good action going on, WWE officials have to be crazy to think that fans are just going to forget that Lesnar is away.
