Chicago Bulls’ point guard Derrick Rose has played in just 10 total games in the last two seasons because of multiple knee injuries.

Now, he is attempting another comeback. Derrick Rose got things started at the FIBA World Cup, helping Team USA take home the gold medal in Spain. However, there have been a few concerns in the preseason. Derrick Rose has a “lower body injury” and has played just 28 total minutes in two games.

Derrick Rose, however, believes he is fine.

“I’m going to have to answer this question for the rest of my career,” Rose says via Jack McCarthy of The USA Today. “I can sit here and say a million times that I’ll be fine. But I think the only way to answer all the critics and everyone asking about me is to actually be on the court and actually be playing.”

He went on to say that his confidence is at an all-time high.

“My confidence in my body is very high,” Rose says. “I know all of the work that I put in (through) the offseason getting back into the shape I’m in right now. So I’m not worried about that.”

If Derrick Rose can stay healthy, the Bulls are in for a huge year and could be a legitimate contender to win an NBA Title.

Derrick Rose averaged just 15.9 points, 4.3 assists and 3.2 rebounds in 31.1 minutes per game while shooting 35.4% from the field, 34.0% from beyond the arc and 84.4% from the free throw line in 10 games last season season. In his career, he has averaged 20.8 points, 6.8 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game while shooting 46.0% from the field, 31.2% from three and 81.5% from the charity stripe.
