Detroit Lions fans are a little unsettled by the slow start by the team this year, and that has led to many wondering if there will be changes this offseason.

It’s bee a slower start to the season than Detroit Lions fans would have liked, but that’s not stopping the team from forging forward. What it’s also not stopping is speculation that perhaps the wrong hire was made in the offseason.

That seems to be incredibly hasty but the window in Detroit is closing and that’s something that fans actively recognize. Things might not be so dire just yet in Detroit though, as Michael Rothstein doesn’t believe anyone is on the hot seat through five weeks in the season.

"The Lions are not a franchise that dumps a coach after one season, never really have been. Jim Caldwell will get a chance with this roster and at this point, barring a complete collapse, Martin Mayhew probably is around as well. Doesn’t feel — at least at this moment — that either seat is particularly hot."

Still, the Lions are looking at a season where they need to make something happen and so far that’s only half happened. There is a lot to love about this Lions team, but there always seems to be something getting in the way of winning.

Changing coaches is hasty, but we could see a front office change this season if things don’t get turned around right away.
