When he was a member of the Toronto Raptors, Miami Heat big man Chris Bosh was the primary option on offense and was viewed as one of the best players in the league. With the Heat, he took a back seat to LeBron James and Dwyane Wade and has been highly criticized.
With James now a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Moke Hamilton of Basketball Insiders believes Chris Bosh is in for a big year.
"As far as Chris Bosh is concerned… I think he is one of the best power forwards in the entire league and I thin he is absolutely worth a max. contract. He is 30, but he has been fairly durable over the course of his career. He plays both sides of the ball exceptionally well, is one of the best midrange shooters in the game, has three-point range, and is a throw-back back-to-the-basket player when given the opportunity. The bottom line is this: Everyone forgot how good Chris Bosh is because he was third fiddle to LeBron and Wade in Miami. This season, he will probably be a 20-23 point per game and 8-10 rebound per game player… And he’ll remind everyone."
Chris Bosh is a very talented player and many believe he will flourish now that James is gone.
Chris Bosh averaged 16.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 1.0 blocks and 1.0 steals per game while shooting 51.6% from the field, 33.9% from three and 82.0% from the free trow line last season. In his career, he’s averaged 19.2 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.1 blocks per game while shooting 49.8% from the floor, 31.0% from three and 80.0% from the charity stripe.
