Nick Chubb filled in capably for suspended Todd Gurley as Georgia blanked Missouri in a key SEC East battle.
Who needs a Gurley-man when you have a dependable Chubb?
With Heisman Trophy candidate Todd Gurley of the Georgia Bulldogs sidelined with writer’s cramp (or suspended amid allegations he got paid for autographing items), freshman Nick Chubb is rolling through the Missouri Tigers in a key SEC East matchup Saturday.
Chubb already has his first career 100-yard game and added a touchdown midway through the fourth quarter on this 9-yard run on a basic sweep.
That score put Georgia up 34-0 as No. 23 Missouri will took its first SEC loss, with No. 13 Georgia improving to 4-1 in conference play.

Gurley had 773 yards in the first five games for the Bulldogs with eight touchdowns, averaging 8.2 yards per carry.
But Chubb got 38 carries against the Tigers and ran for 143 yards and got on the board late, his third touchdown of the season.
The freshman from Cedartown, Ga., came into the game with only 31 carries for 224 yards.
The Bulldogs got a lot of help in the game—quarterback Maty Mauk threw four interceptions and, if that weren’t enough gift-wrapping for Georgia, also lost a fumble.
No word whether or not Georgia coach Mark Richt awarded Mauk a game ball.
