The Kansas City Royals just keep finding ways to win games late as they charge through the 2014 MLB playoffs. They are now 5-0 in the playoffs and have won four extra-inning games thanks to their dramatic 8-6 win over the Baltimore Orioles in Game 1 of the ALCS on Friday.

Having stolen a game on the road, the Royals are one step closer to reaching the World Series. As for the Orioles, they will look to bounce back in Game 2 to avoid falling into a 2-0 hole.
For their part, the Orioles insist that they are ready to wash off a tough loss in the opening game of the series. They believe that they saw their brand of resiliency on display in Game 1 despite the fact that they lost. “This is a tough team. This is a team here, we don’t stop. When we got down 4-0, ‘OK, now let’s start chipping away at the lead,’ ” outfielder Adam Jones said, via MASN.
Yordano Ventura will get the start this key Game 2 for the Royals, while Bud Norris will take the mound for the Orioles.
