Todd Gurley couldn’t play for Georgia on Saturday but that didn’t stop him from giving his teammates a pre-game pep talk
The Georgia Bulldogs have suspended Heisman front-runner Todd Gurley indefinitely pending an NCAA investigation into whether he received improper benefits for signing autographs, but that didn’t stop Gurley from reaching out to his teammates via Skype prior to their game vs the Missouri Tigers.

Georgia would go on to defeat Missouri 34-0 as the Tigers were shutout for the first time since they were blanked by the Kansas State Wildcats in 2002 and were led by true freshman running back Nick Chubb who had 38 carries for 143 yards and a touchdown midway through the fourth quarter.
No word on whether Gurley spoke to his replacement prior to the game, but he did speak to some members of the team through Skype courtesy of linebacker Amarlo Herrera’s phone prior to kickoff.

Gurley was not there physically, but he was there in spirit for Georgia who may have to play the remainder of the season without him.
