Thompson scored his fourth touchdown of the year on the defensive side of the ball when he recovered a fumble from California quarterback Jared Goff and returned it 99 yards for the touchdown. The score was his fifth overall on the season as he has a rushing touchdown as well as a two-way player for Chris Petersen’s club.
And it came against the team where his older brother played and where many had thought Thompson would be playing his college ball as well.
His ability t0 make splash plays and turn them into points is one primary reason why he is mentioned as a likely first round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft.
