Aaron Rodgers gets Miami to fall for fake spike; throws TD to Andrew Quarless
The Green Bay Packers pulled out all the stops today to hand a heartbreaking loss to the Miami Dolphins. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers isn’t a Pro Bowl player for nothing, folks. He pulls out the old “fake spike” play to set up the touchdown that beat the Dolphins with just four seconds left.

This is the equivalent to the hidden ball trick in baseball. Except the timing of it here makes it much more painful for the Dolphins to take.
After Ryan Tannehill found Mike Wallace to give the Dolphins a 24-17 lead with nine minutes left, the Packers cut the lead to 24-20 with five minutes left. The Packers defense forced a Dolphin punt to give the offense the ball back with just over a minute remaining.
Rodgers led the Packers down inside the 20 when they lined up to spike the ball. What happened next took the breath out of the Dolphins’ chests.
This will not be an easy loss for the Dolphins to take especially when they are trying to improve on last season’s 8-8 finish. This is a game that they had a great chance to win.
