Whenever you’re mentioned in the same sentence as the great George Brett it is quite an honor. Well, Lorenzo Cain joined Brett in the Royals record books tonight, as he became the second Royals player in franchise history to get 4 hits in a playoff game.
Cain’s 4 hits in large part, led the Royals over the Orioles and helped his team take a 2-0 series lead over the Orioles. The Royals are now headed home and are now 2 wins away from making it to the World Series. The Royals have not lost a game so far in this postseason and they have all of the confidence in the world.

The Royals were happy just to make it to the postseason and they are still playing with house money. The Royals were expected to lose every series that they played in so far and each time they have proved the critics wrong. If the Royals somehow achieve their goal of winning the World Series, it would set the baseball universe on fire.
Current analyst and former MLB player Pedro Martinez called the Royals the most exciting team that he’s ever seen and he said that he would pay money to see them play. The Royals run this postseason has caught everyone’s attention and it doesn’t look like it will be ending any time soon. The Royals look bound to have a real shot at winning the World Series. They just need to continue to play loose and keep having fun.
