New Orleans Saints expect Jimmy Graham to miss 2-3 weeks
By Josh Hill
Jimmy Graham is crucial to the success of the New Orleans Saints, but he will be missing some serious time with a shoulder injury he suffered against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
New Orleans Saitns tight end Jimmy Graham left last weeks contest against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but was probable to return. He never did though, and we’re finding out a week later as to why he stayed on the sidelines. Graham suffered a sprained shoulder in the loss to the Bucs and his future is not what you’d define as bright and shiny when it comes to his return date.
According to NFL media insider Ian Rapoport, the Saints are expecting to be without Graham for 2-3 weeks after they come out of their bye week this Sunday.
This is bad news not only for Graham fantasy owners but for the Saints this season. They’ve already struggled to get wins with Graham healthy and not having him at all is going to be a killer. Drew Brees can only do so much, and while the Buccaneers aren’t a terrible team, we saw how badly the Saints struggled to beat them at home once Graham left the game. Not having him means that the Saints could be looking at a lost season even more so than they were already, as they’ve lost their biggest offensive target for some of the most critical games of the season.
