In their second meeting of the season, the Cleveland Browns had no problem taking care of the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday
The Cleveland Browns nearly pulled out an amazing comeback win in Week 1 over the Pittsburgh Steelers, but ultimately fell short. On Sunday, they made sure they got their retribution, easily handling their AFC North Division rivals, 31-10.
Pittsburgh actually jumped out to an early 3-0 lead, but that would be all they would really get from that point on. After the Steelers went up 3-0 late in the first quarter, the Browns got the scoring started early on in the second quarter and they never took their foot off the gas pedal from there, once again making a statement that they are indeed for real as a contender in the league.
Brian Hoyer was solid once again in this one for the Browns, throwing for 217 yards on just 8-of-17 passing with one touchdown and no turnovers. The running game again fueled the success of the offense. Ben Tate finished up with 78 yards and two scores on 25 carries, while surprising rookie Isaiah Crowell finished with 77 yards on 11 carries with a touchdown of his own.
By far, though, the top performer in this win was Jordan Cameron, who abused the Steelers defense on this afternoon to the tune of 102 yards on just three catches with a score.
With the win, the Browns improve to 3-2 on the season and will take on the Jacksonville Jaguars next Sunday. With the loss, the Steelers drop to 3-3 on the season and have a date with the Houston Texans next Monday night.
