Washington Wizards to replace Bradley Beal with Ray Allen?
By Josh Hill
Washington Wizards fans are suffering the loss of Bradley Beal this weekend but that only means Ray Allen talk will continue to mount in the Nation’s Capital.
Ray Allen is a name that a lot of people are keeping an eye on this offseason, as he’s the best remaining veteran on the market. He’s also still undecided about returning for a 19th season in the NBA, as the teams interested in his services continue to wait on word about what he plans on doing in the future.

One team taking an increased interest in Allen are the Washington Wizards. Not only was the team interested in Allen to begin with, but the injury to Bradley Beal only seems to amplify their need to the veteran to join their roster. According to J. Michael of CSNWashington.com, fans holding their breath waiting for Allen to sign had best exhale as the chances of it happening remain low — for now.
"Coincidentally, I talked with a person close to him Friday who told me nothing has changed. The Wizards have contacted Allen’s representatives at Tandem Sports and Entertainment several times"
Allen coming to Washington isn’t that far-fetched of an idea though, as the team added Paul Pierce in the offseason who Allen played with and won a title with in Boston. There as bad blood though between the two when Allen left for Miami, so it’s unclear if that will come back to bite the Wizards. Still, Allen coming back seems to be up in the air still and the team is going hold out hope as long as they can.
