Last week on WWE RAW we were treated to the first interview from Roman Reigns since he needed to undergo emergency surgery for a hernia a few weeks ago. The entire segment was really not all that good, and apparently Vince McMahon agrees with this sentiment.
According to a report from Wrestling Rumors, Vince was pretty upset with the way the segment came off, which again, was really not all that impressive.
"According to a report by RingsideNews.com, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon was visibly upset with the way the interview played out.During the interview, Reigns said how he wants to be back in the ring sooner rather than later, although his injury could keep him out of action until 2015.What Reigns said was completely scripted and courtesy of the creative team. McMahon wasn’t upset with what Reigns said, but how he said it."
McMahon, reportedly, might not be on the Reigns bandwagon like a lot of other people are. Recently it was noted that there was some backstage tension between Vince and Triple H over the WrestleMania 31 main event. Hunter wants to put Reigns in that spot against Lesnar, while Vince is more a fan of getting the Rock that match against Lesnar.
Whether this is just nitpicking by Vince or not remains to be seen, but he might not share the sentiments of fans who believe that Reigns is the next big mega star.
