The ongoing quarterback debate at Florida will continue this weekend with Jeff Driskel and Treon Harris sharing reps against Missouri

Florida Gators head coach Will Muschamp said on Monday that both Jeff Driskel and Treon Harris will play at quarterback on Saturday against the Missouri Tigers with Driskel the likely starter in their game against the defending SEC east champions.

“They both will play this week,” Muschamp said during his weekly news conference Monday, via the Orlando Sentinel. “… Right now, Jeff will probably start, but they’re both going to play.”

Driskel has started every game this year for the 3-2 Gators but was removed in the fourth quarter in the win against the Tennessee Volunteers two weeks ago when Harris came in to erase a 9-0 deficit and lead Florida to two scoring drives to give the Gators a 10-9 win over their SEC east foes.

Harris could have been the starter last week against the LSU Tigers if not for his suspension from the university amid a sexual battery accusation which had later been dropped last Friday, one day before the Gators hosted the Tigers. Harris had his suspension lifted after the complaint was dropped but after missing a week of practice and meetings, Muschamp said he would not play.

Driskel was 14-of-25 passing for 183 yards and a touchdown and was the team’s leading rusher with 71 yards on 21 carries and another touchdown, but two interceptions, including one in the final minute that set up the game-winning field goal for LSU, continues to be Driskel’s calling card.

Florida has seen its fair share of two-quarterback systems in year’s past, but Driskel doesn’t think this will have any negative impact on the team moving forward and won’t divide the team.

“The guys have confidence in Treon but I think they have confidence in me as well,” Driskel told reporters Monday, via CBS Sports. “It’s not going to divide the team or anything. … We’re going to work for each other. If it will help the team win, I’m all for it.”

Driskel will be starting, but who do you think finishes the game?
