There is one game in the college football world that all eyes will be on this weekend and that’s the showdown between the Florida State Seminoles and Notre Dame Fighting Irish, a battle of two top five teams. Everyone is looking forward to this amazing match up and that includes the Seminoles’ polarizing quarterback, Jameis Winston.
In speaking to the Orlando Sentinel recently, Winston noted just how excited he is to have this week here finally.
“I’m looking forward to it,” FSU quarterback Jameis Winston said. “These are one of those games where people actually [ask] ‘are you ready for this game?’ But it’s finally here. You can’t say that we’re taking it day-by-day, so it’s finally here. Notre Dame has a great football team, but we’re still Florida State, we’re not looking to lose.”
Both of these teams come into the game with 6-0 records and have easily looked like two of the best teams in the nation so far. ESPN College GameDay will be on hand in Tallahassee this week for the festivities, once again showcasing just how important this match up is for the landscape of college football going forward.
Florida State and Winston are coming off a win last week over Syracuse, while the Irish are coming off a victory over North Carolina.
