Keith Marshall could be returning soon to help out the Georgia offense in the absence of the suspended Todd Gurley

The Georgia Bulldogs enjoyed a huge 34-0 win this past Saturday over the defending SEC East Champion Missouri, despite the fact that they were playing without the best player in the country, Todd Gurley, who has been suspended for NCAA violations. While the win was huge without him, they still need some help the rest of the way, and they could be getting that in the form of the returning Keith Marshall.

Marshall has missed the past three games with an ankle injury, however head coach Mark Richt noted on Sunday that there is an outside chance that he could actually be ready to go this Saturday when the team takes on Arkansas.

“Just watching him run straight ahead last week he looked really good. But I didn’t see him try to change directions or anything like that, no quick cutting motions or anything like that,” Richt said. “So I don’t know if he’s as close as he looked to me, just running straight ahead.”

Should he not be ready to go this weekend, though, Richt is pretty confident that he can return for the game against Florida in two weeks.

“If Keith’s not ready this week I feel like he’d be ready for Florida,” Richt said. “So I feel like we’re getting some guys back.”

Again, while they were able to survive against Missouri, to get to the SEC title game, they will need Marshall in the lineup to help out, and it seems that help is on the way.
