By Josh Sanchez
You can add Kelvin Benjamin to the growing list of players who didn’t know there were ties in the NFL.
Kelvin Benjamin is having a fine rookie campaign, but the Carolina Panthers wide receiver is apparently still getting accustomed to the rules of the pros.

On Sunday afternoon, the Carolina Panthers and Cincinnati Bengals headed to overtime. When the final whistle blew, kicker Mike Nugent had just missed a potential game-winning field goal so the result was a tie.
Being new to the NFL, Kelvin Benjamin still thought the game would continue and that the Panthers would have an opportunity to win the game.
“I didn’t know you could tie in the NFL,” Benjamin said, according to the Charlotte Observer.
Thanks to Benjamin, guys like Donovan McNabb, Danny Amendola and Dashon Goldson shouldn’t feel alone.
While he may be struggling with the new set of rules, the good news for the Panthers is that their first-round pick has had no trouble adjusting to the game on the field with 31 catches, 416 yards and four touchdowns through six NFL games.
