Willis’ status for upcoming games is unknown, but this game is important enough for the 49ers to win. The 49ers are in an extremely and competitive NFC West division that includes the lights of the Seattle Seahawks and the Arizona Cardinals. The health of one of their best overall players Patrick Willis will be huge going forward.
The 49ers were expected to roll over the Rams, but St. Louis showed their peskiness and so far have put up a terrific fight against the favored 49ers. Rams quarterback Austin Davis has done a great job in place of injured Sam Bradford and he has reinstalled hope into Rams faithful. The Rams are looking to get their second win of the season and the 49ers loss of Patrick Willis certainly helps their chances.
