St. Louis Rams fans wear weird, homemade ‘watermelon helmets’ to game against the San Francisco 49ers


My assumption is that Roger Saffold is making that face because he saw these two dudes, because that’s really the look that I had on my face when I first caught wind of this GIF.

Rams’ Bro on the right looks a little incapacitated, which could explain why he cut out a watermelon and stuck it on his head. I give him and his friend props for the DIY project and also for doing something that Canadian Football Fans have been doing for years… on Canadian Thanksgiving, nonetheless. That’s very culturally aware of these guys, although I’m not entirely confident that was their intent.

Canadians would do something like that, and apparently so would people from Missouri, especially Rams fans. I’ve visited Missouri once in my entire life and it was full of snow and horses. I’m not kidding- there was snow up to my elbows, and horses everywhere. That sounds vaguely Canadian- maybe it’s something to do with the way the setting affects people’s mentalities?

I don’t even know.

Once I got over the shock, though, it occurred to me… if I can make these guys a viral sensation, this is totally my 2014 Halloween costume.
