Ole Miss defensive Robert Nkemdiche was allegedly caught smoking a bong on Snapchat by a desperate fan, per Black Sports Online. Unfortunately for the fan, this isn’t something so easily confirmed. Sure, there’s a large man who could be Nkemdiche clearly holding a bong to his lips and lighting, but again there’s that pesky ‘burden of proof’ thing at work here.

Judge for yourself via the link whether or not that’s the Ole Miss star, but the team is certainly crossing its fingers that it’s not him. The Rebels are currently undefeated and poised to make a serious challenge for the College Football Playoff after having upset the University of Alabama at home.
There’s also reason to believe this could be a fabrication as the leaker of the photo is allegedly a University of Tennessee fan. The Volunteers next play the Rebels and it’s safe to reason any good Vols fan would want the Rebels’ best player out of the game. Hey, at least they’re not rooting for a guy to get injured, right?
This still reeks of desperation as the poster has reportedly hit multiple outlets in a fervent attempt to reveal Nkemdiche for doing something that millions of college students do and have done without consequence in their college career.
Granted, that doesn’t excuse someone for breaking the law, but there are degrees to everything, and smoking a bong rates as a light crime at best for a college student compared to some of the stuff that’s been emerging in college football in the last few years.
