Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle relays the news from ESPN’s Lisa Salters that Davis is going to play after going through pregame warmups and stretching drills on the field in St. Louis.
Davis has been slowed by a back injury he originally hurt in the Week 2 loss to the Chicago Bears. He missed the Week 3 game against the Arizona Cardinals when the 49ers lost to drop to 1-2 on the year, but he returned to the starting lineup for the game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Despite returning to the lineup in Week 4 for the win against the Eagles, Davis was not his usual productive self and had only two receptions on three targets for eight yards.
Davis missed the Week 5 win against the Kansas City Chiefs but returned to practice this week when he originally donned a red no-contact jersey on Thursday and participated in practices on Friday and Saturday and was officially designated with a questionable tag.
According to ESPN’s Lisa Salter, Davis is going to play tonight, so adjust your fantasy lineups accordingly. However, can you feel safe with Davis in your lineup considering the limited production he has this season?
Davis has nine catches for 91 yards and two touchdowns this season.
