Dallas Cowboys tackle Doug Free could miss 3-4 weeks with a foot injury.
The Dallas Cowboys sport one of the best offensive lines in football, which has propelled them to an unexpected 5-1 start. It appears that line will take a hit for the next few weeks though as ESPN’s Todd Archer reports that Pro Bowl right tackle Doug Free will miss at least that much time with a fractured foot suffered late in the team’s win over the Seattle Seahawks.

The outlook may not be so bad for the Cowboys, who have cruised and bruised against their opponents this year, sporting the top running back in the NFL as well as a resurgent Tony Romo who is able to stay out of the way and let the rest of the offense do its part before he steps in with some timely throws.
The Cowboys have four more games until their bye week so Free could potentially have six weeks to recover until the Cowboys play at the Giants in Week 12 before turning around and playing their annual Thanksgiving game the following Thursday. This would be the ideal scenario for the Cowboys, who also play the Jacksonville Jaguars the week before their bye.
At 5-1, there is no reason for Dallas to rush Doug Free so expect to see him back, per that timeline, barring any sort of relapse in his recovery. In the meantime, the Cowboys offensive line may not be quite as dominant without Free, but it also shouldn’t crumble at the loss of one player.
