For their Sunday night game at home vs the San Francisco 49ers, the Denver Broncos will wear blue uniforms.

The Denver Broncos will switch up their uniforms for prime time as the team plans to wear its all-blue gear for its home game on Week 7 Sunday night against the San Francisco 49ers. The jerseys will harken Broncos fans to the days of John Elway and Terrell Davis, when the jerseys were a mainstay. The team will then revert to its standard jerseys for their last four home games of the season.

The Denver Post reports, “The game will be the Broncos’ 13th in the “throwback” uniforms; they own a 8-4 record with the all-navy look.

The Post also offered pictures from previous games in which Denver has worn these particular uniforms. Additional photos of the uniforms can be seen here.

The Broncos can at least look forward to looking sleeker and more dangerous, even as their offense flags some from its record highs of last year. While the team is still an impressive 4-1, the record has come without the offensive dominance displayed by last year’s squad. The record offense from 2013 has only topped 40 points once.

That could just be a complaint from fans spoiled by Peyton Manning and this offense, but it’s worth noting that the team will struggle to repeat such a game against the stingy 49ers, who will surely have no problem tracking down Broncos runners even if they are wearing dark blue at night.
