The future of Florida Gators coach Will Muschamp remains up in the air.
In Muschamp’s first season, back in 2011, the Gators finished 7-6 and 3-5 in the SEC but many believe Urban Meyer left the program in a bad place so he was giving a bit of a pass. Then, in year two, Muschamp’s Gators went 11-2, including a win over the rival Florida State Seminoles, Then, last season, disaster struck. Florida went 4-8 and watched Florida State take home a National Title.
This year, Florida has gotten off to a 3-2 start and Muschamp is going to need to finish the season strong to return in 2015. Although teir start is disappointing, they are still very much in the mix in the SEC East and a win over the Georgia Bulldogs would do wonders (and could get them back to the SEC Championship Game). Florida also could wind up making a change at quarterback and going with true freshman Treon Harris, who already seems to be the favorite to win the job in 2015, instead of veteran Jeff Driskel.
On Tuesday, Florida released their 2015 schedule, highlighted by a home game against the Ole Miss Rebels, who are currently the No. 3 ranked team in the country.
