The Kentucky Wildcats are in the midst of a very successful season.
Only a 36-30 triple overtime loss to the Florida Gators (and Florida scored a fourth down touchdown on a very controversial play) separates Kentucky and an unbeaten season. They have two SEC East wins, a 17-7 win over the Vanderbilt Commodores and a 45-38 win over the South Carolina Gamecocks. Of course, their schedule is about to get much more difficult – in the next two weeks, they’ll be at the LSU Tigers and and a home game against the top-ranked Mississippi State Bulldogs.
However, even if the losses begin to pile up, there is no doubt they are going in the right direction under head coach Mark Stoops. Kentucky has also been recruiting at a high level and believes they will continue to improve.
2015, Stoops’ third year, could be a big season and one Tuesday night, Kentucky released their schedule for the 2015 season. They will know where they stand quickly – the play South Carolina, Florida and Missouri in weeks 2-4. The highlight is a Thursday night home game against the Auburn Tigers on October 15.
