Tampa Bay Lightning Defenseman Anton Stralman Makes An Amazing Kick Save (Video)
Tampa Bay Lightning Defenseman Anton Stralman made an amazing kick save last night in the Lightning’s 7-1 rout of the Montreal Canadiens.
If revenge is a dish best served cold, then we think it is safe to say that it was downright frozen at the Amalie Arena last night at the Tampa Bay Lightning laid the smack down on the Montreal Canadiens with a 7-1 win, handing the Canadiens their first loss of the season.

There were so many highlights in this game that it is almost hard to keep track. The big moment of the night came when Tampa Bay Lightning captain Steven Stamkos registered his eighth career hat trick, a natural one at that, with three goals (one in the first and two in the second.)
Next, Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman recorded a spectacular four point night, rocketing past New York Islanders center Brock Nelson and Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby for the points lead in the National Hockey League.
The third big moment from the night is one that is pretty likely to be found on more than one highlight reel this week. In a rare moment of vulnerability, Lightning goaltender Ben Bishop was on the brink of being scored on from his stick side. Thankfully, Lightning defenseman Anton Stralman dove to the rescue.
As you can see in the clip below, Stralman came from behind Bishop and when he saw the opening on Bishop’s right side and the puck soaring towards the net, he did what he had to do; sacrifice the body and dive in front of the shot.
At first, he failed to get his stick on the puck, but his left leg was able to get the job done quite nicely.
The Tampa Bay Lightning don’t have much time to celebrate their much-needed win over Montreal. Tonight, they head back into the Amalie Arena to host the New Jersey Devils in their final game of their opening home stand. Will we see the same heroics we saw in last night’s game? We guess we’ll have to watch and find out.
