Nerlens Noel once thought he may be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2013
Draft.
Instead, Nerlens Noel tore his ACL during his freshman season with the Kentucky Wildcats and fell somewhat. He wound up being the No. 6 overall pick in the draft. He sat out the entire 2013-2014 season and finally got back on the court during the Orlando Pro Summer League.
Nerlens Noel is finally seeing action against NBA caliber players this preseason. In the 76ers’ 84-77 loss to the New York Knicks on Tuesday night, Nerlens Noel scored 12 points on three-of-five shooting from the field (six-of-eight shooting from the free throw line) with 11 rebounds , four steals, three assists and one block.
He also threw down a big dunk on a nice play from guard Tony Wroten. Tony Wroten got into the pain and found Nerlens Noel wide open for the slam.
