The Cincinnati Bengals have a talented linebacker in Vontaze Burfict, but thanks to his latest on the field cheap shot, he will be fined heavily.
Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict was accused of twisting the ankles of Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton and tight end Greg Olsen.
After reviewing film of the alleged incidents, the NFL has decided there was enough evidence to hand down a fine.
Pro Football Talk is reporting that Burfict would has been slapped with a $25,000 fine:

Burfict was signed by the Bengals as an undrafted free agent out of Arizona State University. While his talent level was arguably as high as the first round, character concerns pushed him from hearing his name called on draft day at all.
After coming to the Bengals, he exploded and was one of the best defensive players in the NFL a year ago.
The NFL is hoping that Burfict’s fine will put an end to any future on-field incidents that show a clear intent to injure a player.
