The Armchair Quarterback takes a look at the NFL‘s Week 7 match ups.

Welcome to the Armchair Quarterback’s Guide to Week 7 of the NFL season. This weekly feature looks at each of that week’s NFL match ups and gives you some insight and a prediction for each game. I factor in strengths/weaknesses, prior match ups, and then mix in a little of my own personal observations. Hopefully the result is a preview/prediction post that can help shed some light on which teams will come out victorious in the coming week’s games.

Confession time, I had a winning record in each of the first five weeks of the season and my overall win/loss record for picking games rivaled any and everyone at all the major football prediction sites, and then last week happened. I posted a pitiful record of 6-8-1 (woof). That brings my overall record to 58-32-1. That’s not bad when compared to some of the guys picking games at sites like ESPN and CBS. Still, a losing week like that is not acceptable (I mean I honestly picked teams lead by Ryan Tannehill and Kyle Orton to beat teams lead by Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady). I feel confident that I will be back on track this week.

This week’s games (at least on paper) appear to have much clearer favorites than the ones last week. Consequently, I’m not calling for any wild upsets this week. I learned my lesson last week, namely, don’t over think things.

Let’s get started…….
