On Thursday night, we finally got a competitive pro football game.
The New York Jets entered Thursday night’s game against the rival New England Patriots reeling, having lost five straight games.
The Jets, however, have played the Patriots very well and even took a 19-17 lead in the second half. The Patriots were able to regain the lead on a field goal, 20-19, before the fourth quarter began.
Then, in the fourth quarter, the Patriots marched 46 yards in just seven plays, getting a huge score to make it 27-19. After committing a penalty and running a couple of poor plays, the Patriots faced third-and-goal from their own 19-yard line. On the play, Tom Brady avoided the rush, scrambled and found Danny Amendola in the end zone.
Danny Amendola made a beautiful catch on the play.
