Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning will forever be linked as the two quarterbacks that battled one another in Super Bowl 48. And who knows, there’s a chance that the two could go at it once again in the big game when all is said and done in 2014.

Now, though, they’re linked in another way, and that’s the fact that both of their NFL jerseys are dominating on the market. They’re dominating so much that there are entire teams that can’t keep up with the way their tops fly off the shelves.

According to the DICK’S Sporting Goods Jersey Report, which reflects sales both nationwide and online, Manning and Wilson are indeed outselling entire franchises.

For the week of October 5-11, both Manning and Wilson but up some amazing sales numbers. Wilson landed at the top overall spot for players in the league, while Manning was right behind him at No. 2. But again, the telling stat is about the teams that can’t keep up.

The report goes on to show that Wilson outsold 27 other teams in the NFL, while Manning ended up besting six.

Now that’s really giving some perspective on just how popular these two signal-callers are. It’s also interesting to see the age dynamic as Manning is a legend already, while the third-year player Wilson is just starting to make his mark on the league.

But one thing is for sure, and that’s the fact that these two are ungodly popular.
