Former minor-leaguer Travis Ishikawa sends the San Francisco Giants to the World Series with a walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth.

In Game 5 against the St. Louis Cardinals, the San Francisco Giants needed to win one more game to earn a trip to the World Series.

The Cardinals got up early on a double by Jon Jay but the Giants took a 2-1 lead on Joe Panik’s two-run homer. Matt Adams tied things up with a solo home run in the fourth and then Tony Cruz gave the Cardinals a 3-2 lead two batters later.

In the eighth inning, the Giants brought outfielder Michael Morse into to Pinch-hitting for pitcher Madison Bumgarner in the right, Michale Morse hit a solo shot to tie things up at 3-3 heading into the ninth.

The Cardinals didn’t score in the top. Then, with two men on base, Travis Ishikawa took the plate in the bottom of the ninth with a chance to send the team that gave him his major league chance to the World Series. He delivered.
