Boston Celtics Acquire Will Bynum, Trade Joel Anthony To Detroit Pistons

Boston Celtics front office officials have been busy this offseason making moves, as the team has made yet another trade to fortify the roster.
Boston Celtics and Detroit Pistons fans are in the same boat this season as both fan bases are hoping that their team can make it to the postseason and go on a run. It’s something that may be easier for the Pistons to do, but that didn’t stop the two sides from doing business on Friday morning.

According to Chris Forsberg from ESPN.com, the Celtics and Pistons have gotten together on a trade. It’s a deal that sends guard Will Bynum out east to Boston in exchange for center Joel Anthony, whop heads out west to Detroit.
Boston has been wheeling and dealing all offseaosn long, trading for Marcus Thornton and signing Evan Turner. The Celtics also traded away Keith Bogans to the Cleveland Cavaliers and have now worked again with a Central Division team in the Detroit Pistons.
Anthony was acquired during the middle of last season when the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics got together with the Golden State Warriors on a three-team trade. With Anthony now in Detroit, the Pistons have a big man to throw into their lineup and add depth in a frontcourt that needs to improve this season.
