In one of the most anticipated match ups of the year, two undefeated teams will square off when the second-ranked Florida State Seminoles host the fifth-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee, Florida Saturday night.
Notre Dame features quarterback Everett Golson, who is 16-1 as a start, only losing the 2013 National Championship Game to the Alabama Crimson Tide. Florida State has won their last 22 games, including the 2014 National Championship Game. They’re led by quarterback Jameis Winston, who took home the 2013 Heisman Trophy and is 19-0 as a starter.
Florida State’s chief rival, the Florida Gators, who dominated the rivalry with Urban Meyer at the helm, have really struggled lately. They have lost three out of their last four games to Florida State, went 4-8 last year and are only 3-2 this season.
That, however, hasn’t stopped one of college football’s best rivalries from staying hot. On Friday, the officially twitter of the University of Florida sent a tweet to Notre Dame’s official twitter, telling the Irish to “have a great weekend.”

Not bad, Florida. Not bad.
This is the kind of thing that makes college football great. Taking shots at your rival is part of the fun. Even if one school falls behind the other, rivalries are still great.
