Todd Gurley was holding out hope that he may return to action this Saturday against Arkansas, but that won’t be happening for at least another week.

Georgia running back Todd Gurley is still in trouble for doing something kids in the first grade are taught to do, except when Gurley writes his name down on something he gets paid for it. Despite how stupid and childish the so-called ‘autograph scandal’ is, the fact of the matter remains, Gurley cannot play for the Georgia Bulldogs again until he’s told he can.

That won’t change this week as the Bulldogs travel west to Arkansas to take on the lowly Razorbacks. It’s not a game that is one where the Bulldogs chances of winning rest on Gurley, but it’s most definintly a game in which his talents could be showcased.

Nevertheless, the school did not allow Gurley to travel with the team to Arkansas and he will remain back home this weekend.

The report was backed up by The Atlanta Journal Constitute, who confirm that Gurley will not play on Saturday afternoon against Arkansas.

"The Georgia Bulldogs are scheduled to board buses at 11:45 a.m. today to begin their journey to Little Rock, Ark., and Todd Gurley won’t be with them when they do."

This is just the dumbest suspension ever, and it can’t be stated enough. Still, unlike how Jadeveon Clowney was blasted for sitting out games to preserve his NFL skill, Gurley is being forced to sit out. It’s not hurting his draft stock one bit either, which means he may end up thanking the NCAA for making it easier to not get injured in useless fashion.
