English golfer Ian Poulter announced earlier this week that he is leaving one of golf’s most loud brands, Cobra-Puma. Poulter, a loud-mouth guy himself, had been with the company for eight years but announced on Twitter it was time to depart.
Earlier that day we saw Ian Poulter tweet about how much he loves the new Titleist golf balls, which could lead into his potential new sponsor.
Ian Poulter and American golfer Rickie Fowler were the faces of the Cobra-Puma Golf brand, but now Poulter will be no longer.
A new sponsor can be difficut for Ian Poulter, because the Englishman has his own golf clothing line and his new sponsor would have to cater to that, allowing him to wear his own clothes on tour. Nike for example, requires all staffers and players to dress head to toe in Nike wear. This won’t be an option for Poulter.
Look for Taylormade to make a big run at Poulter as well as Callaway and Titleist.
