The Florida State Seminoles are headed into a big matchup with Notre Dame and Jameis Winston apparently has Jimbo Fisher’s full trust.
The Florida State Seminoles are set to play host to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish this weekend. In what could likely be their biggest game of the season, Jameis Winston has yet again caused another large distraction. In regards to signing autographs in exchange for money, Winston has drawn negative publicity towards the Seminoles.

At this point however, Jimbo Fisher, the head coach of Florida State, says he has no reason not to trust his quarterback. On Mike and Mike this morning, Fisher said:
Jimbo Fisher on Jameis Winston to Mike & Mike: "I have no reason not to believe him. He's always been honest with me."

While that may sound great in theory, in practice it becomes more dicey. I’d question as to whether or not Jameis Winston ran to his football coach and let him know that he had just stolen some crab legs from a local store, or if he let Fisher know what he’d like to do to a female in the context he exclaimed throughout the student union.
Here’s the deal, the rules in which the NCAA operates are without a doubt crooked. Calling an organization amateur while people make billions could be further from lunacy, however, on the student side of things it makes sense to play with the rules, no matter how silly.
Considering the situation taking place with Todd Gurley, and the likely loss of his Heisman chances, the money makes no sense in the long run. A Heisman trophy if far more profitable than the pennies on the dollar that are paid for college kid’s autographs.
Vegas has since taken the Notre Dame and Florida State line off of the board for Saturday, as Winston’s status remained in question. Fisher said he believes that Winston will play on Saturday, and that information is just further proof the NCAA needs to figure things out.
While Terrelle Pryor and Todd Gurley were prosecuted, Jameis Winston and Johnny Manziel were glorified. Something consistent needs to happen across the board.
At any rate, whether Winston plays on Saturday or not, Fisher might want to rethink his words as Winston profiles as just about the last person you would ever want to trust at their word.
