After their amazing win over the Auburn Tigers this past weekend, one week after they dismantled Texas A&M, there was no question that the Mississippi State Bulldogs are the best team in the country. On Sunday when the AP Poll was released, this fact was recognized when the AP Poll voted them the No. 1 team in the country.
With that, it marked the first time that this historic, southern program was billed as the top team in the nation in the ranking that matters the most in the end.
Being the No. 1 team in the country in the AP Poll is one of the most coveted distinctions in the sport of college football. So, with that being said, when was the last time that every team has reached that peak?
