Jimmy Graham is a game-time decision for the New Orleans Saints game against the Detroit Lions as he works his way back from a shoulder injury

The New Orleans Saints had their bye week last week but the extra time off was not enough for All-Pro tight end Jimmy Graham to make a full and complete recovery from a sprained shoulder.

Graham’s injury was expected to sideline him for two-three weeks, but after going through practice on a limited basis on Thursday there was some guarded optimism that he won’t have to miss any game action.

The injury occurred during the win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers when Graham was limited to two catches for 36 yards, both season-lows for the All-Pro.

Graham admitted he played through the pain of the injury before, so if it is a matter of pain tolerance, there could be a strong chance he takes the field.

Could we see Graham on the field in certain situations for the Saints, perhaps only in the red zone where he could present mismatches against the Lions defense and give Drew Brees another weapon to work with?

Whether we see Graham on the field, even in a limited capacity, will be revealed prior to the noon kickoff for Sunday’s game, so the list of inactives should come down about an hour or two prior to kickoff, so adjust your fantasy lineups accordingly.
