Although we don’t know when it will officially happen, the career of John Cena in WWE is quickly coming to a close. Therefore, people have been wondering who the next “face” of WWE will be. Some think that it could be the man that’s featured in a prominent story at the moment, Dean Ambrose.

Well, someone very important in the WWE world tends to agree with that sentiment, and that man is Chris Jericho.

In a recent interview with Brian Fritz on Between the Ropes, Jericho offered up some pretty solid praise for the “Lunatic Fringe,” going so far as to allude to the fact that he can replace Cena as the face of the company pretty soon.

"“I saw Dean when he first started, and there was something different about him. He has that Jeff Hardy X-factor. There’s just something about him that you can’t push on somebody. You can teach them how to take a bump, give them a look, give them wins, but certain guys have a certain something about them that you know is going to take them to the next level, no matter what. Dean definitely has that and in my opinion…I’m not the god of everything but I have a pretty good track record of picking guys. I think he’s the closest that they [WWE] have right now to being the next face of WWE. I don’t think that’s as important now with the [WWE] Network and less emphasis on pay-per-views and that sort of thing. But as far as a guy who can come in there as the top babyface, I think Dean’s your best best right now.”"

You can’t really ask for anymore positive praise than that if you’re Ambrose. Jericho knows what a good talent looks like and he seems to be on board with everyone else in thinking that Ambrose can be something special.
