One of the big match ups to start Saturday for Week 8 of the college football season is the Oklahoma Sooners squaring off against the Kansas State Wildcats at home in Norman. Unfortunately, though, early in the game quarterback Trevor Knight went down with an injury and has headed to the locker room.

For some reason or another, the Sooners ran Knight on three straight plays, even though he has had a bit of an injury history, dating back to last season. On the third run, Knight rolled to his right and dived head first. When he hit the ground, the Kansas State defender landed right on top of him.

Knight went to the sideline and was favoring his left arm. After a few minutes of sitting on the bench talking with the trainers, Knight jogged back to the locker room to be evaluated.

In his place right now is redshirt freshman Cody Thomas, who has just four career pass attempts in his career, all during his appearance earlier this season against Tulsa.

As more information becomes available on the condition of Knight, we will keep you updated.
