Pascal Dupuis Could Start For Penguins This Week
The Pittsburgh Penguins could see Pascal Dupuis sooner rather than later back in the lineup
During the Pittsburgh Peguins’ game on Thursday, Pascal Dupuis went down pretty hard- understandable, since he was hit in the head by Kris Letang’s attempted shot on goal.

Despite all the melodrama and him being stretchered off, though, it seems like Dupuis might be back in the lineup– and not too far down the road, either.
Dupuis is already exceeding league expectations, as he recorded four points in his past three games (despite having no feeling in his knee post-surgery). Now, the 35-year-old is continuing to remind everyone why hockey players are the toughest athletes alive, as he skated out with his regular linemates during practice on Saturday.
His linemates were more than concerned with him when the puck hit his neck; according to NHL‘s Wes Crosby, linemate Evgeni Malkin screamed “just lay there!” after Dupuis went down. I’m personally pretty impressed by this- beyond the proof that even the toughest Russian players have feelings, that might have been the first time I’ve heard Malkin slip up and let us know that he does, in fact, speak English just fine.
Should Dupuis be back in the lineup by later this week, things will be looking up for the already seemingly powerful Pittsburgh Penguins- Beau Bennett should return to the lineup soon enough, and Robert Bortuzzo is on his way back to health as well.
