The Seattle Seahawks have moved on from embattled wide receiver Percy Harvin, and they have done so without getting much in return.

The Seattle Seahawks dealt Percy Harvin to the New York Jets on Friday night following a fallout with the NFL Super Bowl Champion’s. Harvin’s ability is well noted, but his personality and off the field antics are also well documented. The Seahawks were so eager to get ride of him, they took only a conditional sixth round pick from the Jets.

While neither the Seahawks nor the Jets have announced the full details of the trade yet, Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News is reporting that the best the Seahawks will get in return is a 4th round selection in the 2015 NFL Draft.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network has reported that the pick is a conditional 6th round selection in 2015:

Considering what Percy brings on the field as a wide receiver, no matter how little that takes place, the compensation is shockingly low. With reports surfacing this morning that Harvin had become a cancer for yet another franchise, this seems like a move that Seattle was looking to part with a player in any way possible, regardless of what they would receive in return.

Harvin is obviously excited to be moving on to another team. Unfortunately for him, the laundry list of issues will follow him to one of the toughest media markets in the country. Harvin is running out of options and if he doesn’t figure things out soon, it won’t matter what his athletical prowess allows him to do on a football field.

Look for Harvin to be utilized in low risk routes to help struggling Geno Smith elevate his play for the Jets. Harvin will likely make his debut next week for New York.
