Charlie Whitehurst found Derek Hagan for a 38-yard TD to put the Titans up over the Redskins 17-16.

The Tennessee Titans are locked into a battle with the Washington Redskins, and quarterback Charlie Whitehurst is trying to lead his team to a big win. Whitehurst came through with a huge play to find wide receiver Derek Hagan for a 38-yard touchdown, and the Titans regained the lead over the Redskins at 17-16 following that touchdown.

Tennessee has struggled due to the quarterback issues that they have had with Jake Locker missing multiple games due to injury. He has been extremely inconsistent throughout his entire career as far as his health is concerned, and Whitehurst has been asked to step up for the Titans in the meantime and win them a couple football games. Washington isn’t the best team out there, but they have made some big plays on the afternoon.

Obviously Whitehurst has been forced into a very difficult situation, but he has handled things very well and is making plays. That was a perfect pass to a streaking wide receiver in a key part of a big football game. Tennessee is currently sitting at 2-4 on the season, and need this win to keep themselves anywhere near playoff contention.
