The Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants really don’t like each other. In case the fans had forgotten, the teams got into a scuffle on the opening kickoff. They sure don’t waste any time!
Cowboys reserve defensive lineman Jack Crawford took exception to being de-cleated by the Giants reserve cornerback Jaylon Hosley. This was the result.
As you can see, it was not an overly aggressive hit, but everything is magnified in a game like this.
Dallas did get the last laugh though. They scored a touchdown on the opening drive to take an early 7-0 lead when Tony Romo hit Edwin Escobar for a 15-yard touchdown.
The struggling Giants are 3-3 coming into Dallas. For all of the problems that surrounded the Cowboys in week one against the San Francisco 49ers, they have sure rebounded nicely. The Cowboys sit at 5-1, after winning five straight games to pull into a tie for first in the NFC East with the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Eagles are on bye this week, so if the Cowboys can hang on, they will have sole possession of first place.
