It looks like LeBron James isn’t the only one using his return home as a power piece.
Appearing in his latest “Beats By Dre” commercial titled “Re-Established in 2014”, Apple’s head company highlights the connection between the Cleveland Cavaliers superstar and his hometown of Akron.
While James has never put on for the city of Cleveland, he’s always made it known how much he loves his hometown of Akron, Ohio, and in this commercial, Beats By Dre perfectly reflects that by visiting James’ old stomping ground (they also used old footage of James in high school) and showing how local business celebrated the “King’s” return home.
To add a greater effect, Beats By Dre included a voice-over from none other than Gloria James, LeBron James’ mom whom is also included in the commercial through a close-up shot and re-enactments.
It’s been an eventful NBA summer, but no decision struck harder than James return home after appearing in four straight NBA Finals with the Miami Heat.
